It really IS freeing, but is is also a bit sad. Most the furniture I'm selling has been my "family" for well over 20 years. The catch in my throat as the car drove off surprised me, as I'm not really a car person. It WAS the first car I chose and purchased with no input from anyone else.
YIKES!! My son would consider that a worthy last possession, but wow. I hope you are finding this purging business very freeing.
