End note

I wanted to end the year with something that says "home" to me.  Going through the Met was sensory overload, but walking into the room with Monet and Van Gogh was a "coming home" moment.  I'm reading a book about rereading books, and why we do it.  I love stretching my mind with new art experiences, but I always go back to my favorites.  I've been touching bases recently with those people and activities that give me that sense of rightness and peace.  And then I'm recharged to go out into the new places.
