Supreme Court (Philadelphia)

 Next to Independence Hall is the Old City Hall, where the first Supreme Court of the United States met from 1791-1800.  It was also the volunteer headquarters in the battle against Yellow Fever epidemic of 1793, and an immigration center.  Thousands of immigrants entered the U.S. through Philadelphia in the last decade of the 18th century. Naturalization ceremonies for new citizens took place in this courtroom.
