Another day, another hike, another picnic (10/10)

Just before we started our 7.4 mile Monday hike, we spotted an elk right by the road.

Just a little further along, we saw another elk sauntering along this gorgeous row of trees, and he obligingly stopped long enough to ... trumpet?  bellow?  Whatever sound elk make, he made it.  Amazing.

 

Just too beautiful for words.

And yep...there were some BIG trees!
