Pretty, but not fun

Tuesday morning the snow had become ice.  All public transportation buses were non-operational, so Tony and I decided to walk two miles to the train station.  As it turns out, this was a dangerous walk on ice covered sidewalks, and took over an hour.  Entrances to the train station were like a skating rink.  The walk from the station to work was another half mile of ice.  My boots were made for water, not ice.  It took 2.5 hours to get there, and we realized early on there was no way we could do the reverse trip that night, in the dark.  We were stuck in Atlanta.  This is the view from the 4th floor at work.

  1. It is beautiful but I know (from reading about it - not from experience, of course) what a mess it has been. You all really got hit hard.
